This website

The site is served by GitHub Pages as static files. GitHub records server log data, including IP addresses, for the operation and security of the service; see the GitHub Privacy Statement. No data is collected by the course maintainer through this site.

Follow-along registration

The free follow-along registration is operated with pretix at register.alexjung.eu. It collects the name and email address you enter, and your answers to the optional questions asked on the form. These are used only to send course announcements, assignment releases and live session reminders for this course edition, and to count registrations by country and referral channel for planning. They are not sold, and are not shared with third parties beyond the hosting provider. Ask at the contact address below to see, correct or delete your registration at any time.

Enrolled Aalto students

Students enrolled through Sisu are covered by Aalto University's own privacy notices for teaching and study records, not by this page. Course assignments and project work are handled in Aalto's MyCourses and JupyterHub systems under those notices.

Lecture recordings

Recordings and live sessions are published on YouTube, which applies the Google Privacy Policy to viewers. Live chat messages are public while a session is live and in its archive. Participants never appear on camera or by name unless they choose to.

Google OAuth client

An OAuth client registered for this course is used by the maintainer alone, from a local script, to upload videos and set descriptions and thumbnails on the course YouTube channel. It is not offered to visitors, has no other users, and collects no data from anyone.
